Our research investigates how global change and anthropogenic stressors alter the resilience of marine communities. We combine hypothesis-driven field experiments, analyses of time-series data, and larger data syntheses to understand how ecological communities respond to acute disturbances and global change.  The Speare Lab is based in the Department of Biological Sciences at Texas Tech University.
